The central aim of this course is to enable the student to analyse and produce systematically a wide variety of English grammatical structures with a full comprehension of the rule system behind each pattern. The content of the course will be dealt with within five topics. The topics include English sentence structure, English noun phrase, verb phrase, finite phrases and clauses, as well as relative, appositive and conditional clauses.
