Welcome to PA 717: Local Governance, a graduate course that familiarizes students of Public Administration with key theoretical and empirical issues in local governance. The course is designed to advance conceptual, theoretical, and practical understanding of the issues associated with the shift from local government and administration to local governance perspectives in the management and administration of shared affairs of modern democratic communities. The course also attempts to equip students with skills to analyze the role of actors and forums in local governance.
