Objectives:

To familiarise students with technical and organisational techniques of problem solving. In addition, the project is intended to impart research skills to the students

 

Prerequisites:            Second and third year courses

 

Mode of Delivery:     4 hrs research per week (60 Hours)

 

Course Contents:

Problem solving, research, design of mining/mineral processing engineering installation and economic evaluation. Project topics originate from current mining/mineral processing engineering problems. Problem definition, hypothesis building, literature survey and solution procedure and requirements. The work is presented orally and in written technical report.
