Course Description
In this course, students will write a review of a self-chosen topic in a subject area of global relevance to petroleum geology. Subject choice will be approved by academic staff.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course the student should be able:
•To define and produce a concise synopsis of one application of geological science to addressing a challenge in petroleum geosciences.
• To present this in an illustrated public presentation of 10 minutes.
Assesment:
Choice of subject and submission of a short summary of the aims and relevance of the project (10%), A written report in the form of a paper (60%), Oral presentation of the report to peer group, academic staff and invited guests (30%).
