Welcome to RP 603: Public Policy Development and Analysis

This foundational course exposes students to the conceptual tools, knowledge, skills, competencies, and materials needed by practitioners and researchers in public policy.  The course focuses on public policy management and analysis's key conceptual, theoretical, and practical underpinnings. It also addresses the nature of public policy, its context, machinery, techniques, approaches, and tools for formulating, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing public policy. The course bridges the gap between theory and practice in public policy management and analysis by employing learner-centered, problem-based, and interdisciplinary approaches. This course builds a foundation for RP 608 applied policy analysis.
