The course aims at equipping students with fundamental concepts, tools/instruments, and theories of educational policy analysis and exposes them to practical aspects of educational policy issues. In this course, students will explore key concepts in the analysis of education policy, approaching them in the international perspectives while comparing with a local perspective.
By the end of the course, students should demonstrate the ability to:
1. Critically analyze existing educational policies and plans;
2. Explore contemporary issues in education policy studies;
3. Critically analyze the intersection between local and global educational policies;
4. Analyze critical issues related to education systems and policies in Tanzania;
5. Apply theoretical and methodological tools in the process of designing and evaluating educational policies in international contexts.
